InVizAR’s main objective was to explore efficient and user-friendly AR visualizations of sensor data describing “invisible fields”, like electromagnetic fields or radio signals. InVizAR was a short-scale, 9-month project targeting the development of prototypes for its visualization goal. Two prototype versions (A. and B.) were developed with the following features:
- Version A: Close inspection and Animation ON, ColorMap change, Particle System activation, Enabling of, Bounds Control and move of pipe using Far Interactions, Disabling of Bounds Control, Particle System OFF and see how it dissolves away, Particle System ON and how it displays one measured line after each other, Opacity change, Reset of Pipe to original position, Test of Hide Pipe and Show Pipe buttons
- Version B: Opacity change, Tap on Point for additional frequency information, Time Slider for navigating through historical datasets
The project was funded by internal SEP funding through the Research Council of Norway. The following SINTEF employees worked on the project: Costas Boletsis, Arne Lie, Ophelia Prillard, Karsten Husby, and Jiaxin Li.
